What are the best rock music podcasts for my band? My band is trying to expand our listening audience, essentially... we want to be everywhere. We're looking for the most popular podcasts that our music would be a good fit for. We're based in Connecticut but we've played all over New England and we're on radio stations all over the country so I'd love suggestions from anywhere. If you want an idea of our sound for your suggestions, we've been compared to The Donnas, Paramore, Letters To Cleo and Damone. The vocals have been compared to everything from Gwen Stefani (No Doubt, of course) and Hayley Williams (Paramore) to Pat Benetar and Janis Joplin. If you'd rather hear us to get a better idea- http://www.myspace.com/sheeatsplanets http://www.facebook.com/pages/She-Eats-Planets/8504160877 http://www.sheeatsplanets.com Our music is all over, take your pick. I just really want the best fit for our sound. If you have any questions that'll help you to help me (hehe) feel free to ask! Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Is podcasting still popular? Believe it or not I'm new to podcasts. My question is are they still popular? I mean I'm just getting started and I don't want to get hooked on something that will be old news in a year. I find myself laughing like crazy at some of the audio podcasts. I enjoy them so much. My Ipod is full of them, and I never even listen to music anymore. Anyone see podcasting just becoming old news in the near future?

I have a great business plan, but I need money? Hello all, I am a software developer and I have a very good idea about a website. Here is a brief explanation about the business plan and idea. Please read: I want to create a "podcast search engine". For those of you who don't know a "Podcast" is a very popular form of internet broadcasting. It is in fact the next level of internet multimedia. The next one...after the images, the video sites... And as you know video media search engines like Youtube are getting millions (Youtube was bought by Googlr Inc. for over 1 billions USD...that is correct). If you don't believe me that the idea is good....see what is the next project of Yahoo: http://podcasts.yahoo.com/ Yahoo are now testing this great idea. I need at least 5000$ to start this business. And I can promise to you great return within a few months. The money will be spend for hosting, advertising, and data setting. Thanks: lmdesign.net Tel: 1 310 598 3567 E-mail: b.georgievv@abv.bg

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said slightly more than half of the influenza virus strains reported to its surveillance system are not good matches against the strains included in this flu season’s vaccine. The number of states reporting widespread flu activity jumped to 31 this week compared with 11 a week ago, the CDC said. But Dr. Joe Bresee of the CDC’s influenza division said there are no indications this flu season is worse than usual. Story continues below ↓ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- advertisement -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Seasonal flu activity was slow to start this year but has increased sharply in recent weeks,” Bresee told reporters. One measure officials use to gauge the severity of the season is the number of flu-related child deaths. Bresee said the CDC has heard of six U.S. children who have died from the flu, a relatively low number compared with recent years. Flu viruses mutate and change all the time, so every year a different vaccine is created as officials predict which particular strains will circulate. The vaccine is designed to protect against three influenza strains — two from Type A, an H1N1 and an H3N2 version, and one for Type B. Bresee said about 30 percent of the overall strains of influenza in the United States may be a Type A strain that emerged in Australia called H3N2 A/Brisbane. It emerged too late to be included in the flu vaccine offered in the United States beginning in September and October. The Type B strain chosen for this year’s vaccine also was not a good match for most of the B virus strains seen in the United States this flu season, Bresee said. “While a less-than-ideal virus match between the viruses in the vaccine and those circulating viruses can reduce vaccine effectiveness, we know from past influenza studies that the vaccine can still protect enough to make illness milder or prevent flu-related complications,” Bresee said. Flu vaccines take months to make. Bresee also said some resistance is being reported to the antiviral drug Tamiflu, made by Switzerland’s Roche Holding AG and Gilead Sciences Inc of the United States. Of the viruses tested in CDC flu labs, 4.5 percent are resistant to the drug, Bresee said. Influenza kills an estimated 36,000 Americans in an average year, and puts 200,000 into the hospital, the CDC said. Copyright 2008 Reuters. Click for restrictions. I have some podcasts that just refuse to go on my ipod. Also, is it possible if I can do something like this Led Zeppelin - and have their list of albums and I can click on that album and just listen to those songs. iTunes is extremely frustrating. Please help me!
In next century will the TV,Telephone,Radio and Computer merge completely and will become directly "dialable"? After laying of optical fiber all over the earth and using powerful radio links on the earth and the satellite link to back it up,the subscriber can directly dial any computer on earth. He can also have interactive sessons with TV/Radio studios to access any recorded programme or cinema or TV show of any past period.Podcasts of computer too will become extremely popular. There will no need of conventional class room though it may always remain. The E-Book will also become extremely popular though the conventional paper book will always be there.(All this provided we survive the nuclear) war.
Questions for Australians? How popular is John Safran? (I live in North America, but I download his Sunday Night With Safran podcasts, and was wondering about this) Do must Australians have a glow or tan? (The British seem to be rather pastey; Canadians seem to be something in between; Americans seem to be tanned in the Southern US.) I had an Aussie professor who had a tan, even when it was -20 C outside, so I was wondering about this. If you were a university student, would you go to a 3 hour lecture? (My Aussie friend said that lectures are shorter in Australia, because no one in Australia would go to such a long lecture) How often do Australians go to beaches? Thanks for answering!
Is this a good idea for a website to promote your band, podcast, or blog? Is this a good idea for a website to promote your band, podcast, or blog? What is a good name for a website to promote your band, podcast, or blog? I want to start a website to help people get more popular on their blog, podcast, band, ect. The way it works is you establish what types of music, podcasts, ect. you like and want to discover and for every artist you check out (listen, watch or read), it will promote you to one person. So essentially, you find out about 5 entertainers, then 5 people find out about you. First of all, do you think it is a good idea? And what is a good name for this site
