Can I add audible things to Yahoo Chat? I use Yahoo for my email account and in there I can chat with my friends. They can 'ding' each other but I can't do it to them and only receive the word <ding> if they send one to me. I think it has something to do with Yahoo Messenger, which I went into as 'Try Me' and still couldn't do what they could. This is a Yahoo Audible question/problem.? My friend has an HP laptop, running Windows XP Home, 256 ram and the rest basic. I intro'd her to Yahoo/Messenger and things have worked fine until i told her to try Audibles. When she tries to open them they will not load. it says they are loading but they do not. Yahoo reps replied and said to delete the Prog Files/Yahoo/Msg/Cache audiblemenu and audiblerevoked files. Then delete the ../Cache/Audible folder files(all). i did that and it did not work. i even uninstalled Msg and reinstalled it. Still nothing. I am wondering if ram may be an issue. My desktop w/Win2000 works fine and my resident desktops work fine w/XP. I have over 256 and the other is 512. Can anyone tell me why they will not load. My Picture image will not display in the message window either when it does on the other machines. please contact me at my yahoo email addr. thanks

Why does Yahoo force "Yahoo Mail" users to download Yahoo Messenger in order to get the audible alert feature? I use Yahoo Mail as my primary email account at home. I don't use any form of Instand Messenging (IM) such as AOL. I want a feature on my Yahoo Mail to give me an audible alert each time I receive an email when I'm on the web. I understand Yahoo has this feature but I'm told I must download Yahoo Messenger in order to get this Mail Feature. Why is that neccessary?
