What peticular equipment do you need to make a podcast?

I want to start a podcast with friends, but I'm not exactly sure what I need. I know a microphone, but thats it!

1. You will need a microphone, a computer with recording software. Podcasts are MP3 files, so you will need a recorder that can save to MP3, or a free converter availiable on the internet. Search for "free MP3 converter". With this you can record the sound into Sound Recorder (Windows) and convert the *.wav file into an MP3.
